    Refund & Cancellation Policy

    Our Commitment

    At ESG Strategy, we stand behind the quality of our services and products. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. This policy outlines our refund and cancellation terms for different types of products and services.

    1. Consulting Services

    Fractional CSO (fCSO) Engagements

    • Cancellation before commencement: Full refund of any deposits paid, minus a 10% administration fee.
    • Cancellation during engagement: You may cancel with 30 days written notice. Fees for completed work will be invoiced; unused prepaid fees will be refunded.
    • 90-Day Sprint Programs: Once commenced, refunds are not available for completed phases. Unused phases may be credited toward future services.

    Strategy Sessions & Advisory

    • Cancellation 48+ hours before: Full refund or reschedule at no charge.
    • Cancellation within 48 hours: 50% refund or reschedule within 30 days.
    • No-show: No refund available.

    2. Digital Products

    ESGenius Benchmark Report ($2,500 AUD)

    Due to the customised nature of ESGenius reports, which are generated specifically for your organisation:

    • Before survey completion: Full refund available.
    • After survey completion: No refund, as report generation has commenced.
    • Quality guarantee: If you believe the report contains material errors, contact us within 14 days for a review and potential reissue.

    eBooks & Digital Downloads

    • Due to the nature of digital products, refunds are generally not available once the product has been downloaded or accessed.
    • If you experience technical issues preventing access, contact us within 7 days for assistance or a replacement.

    3. Workshops & Events

    • Cancellation 14+ days before: Full refund.
    • Cancellation 7-13 days before: 50% refund or full credit toward a future workshop.
    • Cancellation within 7 days: No refund, but you may transfer your registration to a colleague.
    • Event cancellation by ESG Strategy: Full refund or transfer to a rescheduled date.

    4. Physical Products (Books)

    For physical copies of "How to Build Sustainability into Your Business Strategy":

    • Books purchased through Amazon are subject to Amazon's return policy.
    • Books purchased directly from us may be returned in original condition within 30 days for a full refund (shipping costs not refundable).

    5. How to Request a Refund

    To request a refund or cancellation, please contact us with:

    • Your name and email address used for the purchase
    • Order or invoice number (if applicable)
    • The product or service you wish to cancel
    • Reason for the refund request

    6. Processing Refunds

    • Approved refunds will be processed within 10 business days.
    • Refunds will be issued to the original payment method.
    • Credit card refunds may take an additional 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

    7. Exceptions

    We reserve the right to refuse refunds in cases of suspected fraud, abuse of our refund policy, or when services have been substantially delivered. Disputes will be handled in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

    8. Australian Consumer Law

    Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. If goods or services you purchase have a major problem, you are entitled to a replacement or refund. If the problem is not major, we will repair or replace the goods within a reasonable time.
