Mark Lyster – Founding Director and COO
Mark Lyster is a founding director with over 25 years of experience in sustainability strategy, sustainable finance, and ESG risk management. Mark has developed responsible investment frameworks and ESG systems for leading institutions across finance, insurance, and asset management, including CBA, ANZ, IAG, and Colonial First State, and advised sectors such as mining, agriculture, and logistics. He co-founded Action Sustainability Asia Pacific, a purpose-driven sustainability consultancy acquired by KPMG in 2020, where he continued as Director, supporting ESG integration for major clients and leading projects on human rights, climate risk, and modern slavery frameworks.
Additionally, Mark has held leadership roles at KPMG, EY, and Net Balance, and has a strong background in development banking from his work with the Development Bank of Southern Africa and Standard Corporate & Merchant Bank. He is actively involved in advancing industry standards and -haired the Responsible Investment Association of Australasia's Human Rights and Digital Tech & Human Rights Working Groups.
